A natural home for creative souls & independent spirits
Armed with little more than boundless creativity and a healthy dose of determination, five friends embarked on an unforgettable journey to open The Ragged Trousers on a shoestring budget in 2006.
We wanted a place close to the Forum where people could gather for pre-gig drinks and again when the club closed. But our mission extended beyond opening another watering hole. We envisioned The Pantiles, complete with its bandstand, transforming from the back-then sleepy shopping area to a bustling destination for events, food, and drinks. The Pantiles was the slumbering heart of Tunbridge Wells, and we would bring it to life.
The Ragged is steeped in stories, from its heritage-rich foundations to its carefully considered name. Every cherished moment etched within its charm reflects who we are today.
